Roger Wolff and Linda McGlochlin Wolff are the owners of Ammons Horn Wines and live full-time on their Napa Valley property managing all vineyard operations, winemaking activities, marketing, and sales of their wine brand. Roger’s professional career began (and continues) as a California licensed architect with degrees in architecture and fine art from the University of Southern California. Combined with Linda’s expertise as a California licensed geologist and certified hydrogeologist, this husband-and-wife team has taken their Carneros land from forgotten prune orchard/cow pasture to a thriving vineyard estate.
When not practicing architecture, Roger can frequently be found in the vineyards driving their tractor or overseeing construction and maintenance of the beautiful chateau-style buildings and small winery. Linda takes credit for installation of the water well on the site, which has excellent yield and quality, no small feat in an area known to be groundwater deficient. However, when not practicing geology, most of Linda’s time is spent in the vineyard overseeing viticultural activities or wine production at both their Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley bonded wineries. Running their vineyard operation as well as their work in architecture and geology presents a demanding schedule, but it is a labor of love that Roger and Linda are certainly up for.
